Zachary Kellogg to perform at MusicFest Canada
Zachary Kellogg will be featured with The
Toronto Wind Orchestra under the Direction of Tony Gomes.
During the weeklong event MusicFest "The Nationals" will bring together more than 10,000 of Canada's finest young musicians 300 ensembles who will perform for recognition as the country's foremost musical ensembles.

At only 13 years old, Zachary Kellogg became Pearl Flutes' youngest Performing Artist and an internationally acclaimed classical and jazz artist. Regular NFA convention goers have watched him progress through the recent years and emerge as truly talented and gifted flutist. At the 2011 NFA Convention, Zachary will be featured in Recital, as well as performing with the Jazz Flute Big Band. As a First Prize winner of the Alexander and Bouno International Flute Competition, Zachary made his Carnegie Hall Debut in October 2010.
Hailed as a true Child Prodigy by the International Congress for Gifted and Talented Children, Zachary is also a two-time winner of the National Flute Association Jazz Flute Big Band Competition; was named Outstanding Soloist at the Lionel Hampton International Jazz Festival; and took 2nd Place at the MTNA National Competition. Locally, Zachary is also the winner of the Seattle Young Artist Competition; Cascade Symphony’s Rising Star Competition, Seattle Flute Society’s Horsfall Competition and was a Seattle Chamber Music Society Emerging Artist. He also has appeared on several local news and arts TV programs in the Seattle area. In 2009, Zachary was signed by Pony Boy Records and released his debut jazz CD “Red Velvet” in July of 2010.
A student of Jim Walker (of Colburn and USC), Zachary can be seen frequently performing with his jazz quartet in the Seattle area, as well as throughout the U.S. and Canada. Zachary has also performed with such jazz greats as Hubert Laws, Holly Hofmann, Ali Ryerson, Mike Wofford and YouTube sensation Greg Pattillo. A homeschooled eighth grader (living in Puyallup, Washington) Zachary is also an accomplished pianist and budding chef.
